Ok, thanks for your patience! Here is the next and final installment of the Top Ten Resources that every current or prospective home-based business owner should have.

8) TrafficSwarm!
This is a fascinating FREE system that brings an absurd amount of traffic to your website through 'viral' marketing. In order to have your site marketed you earn credits, which function kind of like 'Jeffrey Bucks' for Trafficswarm. These credits are free, and there are various ways you can earn them, such as setting Trafficswarm as your home page, using it to view other pages, use their search engine, etc.

This is a must-have for any home business owner.

9) Advanced: Pay-per-click Advertising
Search Engine Optimization is the holy grail, but for most new businesses this can take a while. With pay-per-click advertising, you can be on the front page right away. Pay-per-click (PPC) ads are the ones you see on the right of the screen when you do a Google search.

It is easy to drive targeted traffic to your website with PPC. It is even easier to waste a lot of money on it if you don't know exactly what you are doing. Consult your mentor for training on how to effectively do a PPC campaign for your business. I also recommend doing your own research and reading the how-to guides included with most PPC providers. Here are the PPC services that I personally use:

• Goclick
• Yahoo Search Marketing
• Google Adwords

10) Advanced: Veretekk

Veretekk is a powerful lead generation tool. There ares no better prospects than what you get with Veretekk. Inviting these leads to join your business will surely do good things.

Veretekk lets you download free leads, blast your advertisement across multiple search engines, and creates 'Ad Portals', which it would take a looong time for me to explain. You'll have to see it for yourself.

There are educational training classes privileged only to subscribers (by some of the top networkers in this industry). IF your serious about marketing and home business, then this is a tool you should not miss.

The Controversial Tax Rebate

THE BAD NEWS

Let's be honest. You've read about how the government is going to be sending you a tax rebate, somewhere between $300 and $1200. But ask yourself...how much is that going to change your life? Rent for a month, pay down your credit bills, help with groceries?


The government is giving you a fish. It is feeding you for a day, but that won't improve your financial situation for tomorrow.


The reality is, that money will be gone before you know it and you'll be back where you started. What if you put it in the bank? It might earn $10-20 before you have to pull it out again to pay bills? Put the money in the stock market? You might earn or *lose* a few hundred dollars before you have to pull it out again to pay bills.

Maybe with the increase in spending there will be more jobs, and you can get a better-paying one? Maybe the nationwide layoffs in January were just a fluke?

And maybe you'll find a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow! It *could* happen, but it probably won't. If you are lucky, your job will not be outsourced or laid-off, and you will be able to keep scraping by.

But is that what you really want? Isn't there more out there? What about those self-made wealthy people you see on the talk shows on TV? At the very least, wouldn't it be nice if you could deal with some of the biggest problems you face as a member of the workforce? Such as...

If you are considering starting a home-based business, or if you already have one and are looking to increase your profits, I would like to share with you what I consider to be the

Top Five Resources for Home-based Business Success.

1) First, having a great home business that is automated, has a spectacular sales presentation, and pays out high commissions. Passport to Wealth is a GREAT example Take a look at their amazing presentation!

2) For any home business you will need leads. At first it is difficult to generate your own, so I recommend partnering with a marketing agency that can get leads FOR you. My personal favorite sources of leads are:

a) MLM Lead Genie High quality leads, best price I've found
b) FIS Marketing They actually run a unique ad campaign tailored for your business, AND teach you how to convert the leads into sales!

3) An upline/mentor team that is going to really teach you how to generate wealth with this business. A good mentor will help you earn massive profits. A bad one will take your money and leave. Make sure you do your research so that you can tell the difference.

4) A Blog! Yes, business-blogging is taking the internet by storm and can get you moved up in the search engine rankings faster than almost any other method. You can get your free blog at http://www.blogger.com/. Your mentor will teach you how to use it to earn money online!

5) Craigslist Craigslist is a great way to get free advertisements out there in every major city. http://www.craigslist.org/ It is free to sign up and you can post many different ads (your mentor will teach you how to do this properly and supply you with some pre-made ads you can use)

Quest for Health and Wealth: Chapter I, So Many Scams to Choose From...

...And So Few legitimate business opportunities that I think I could actually make money with.

This epic saga that I am now beginning is going to chronicle my foray into the world of network marketing. This is a no-holds-barred narrative of the good, the bad and the ugly of running a home-based business, complete with helpful advice and the occasional freebie.

Network marketing appears to be a truly unique industry. All of my education and experience as an executive in the corporate world gets completely pushed to the side as I explore this daunting, yet exciting, world of ezines, lead generation, webstores, Pay-per-clicks, and yes, blogs.

The business opportunity that I am pursuing is a micro-franchise with Herbalife International, a health and nutrition company that has been around for about twenty-five years. I did a significant amount of research into various home-business, affiliate marketing, MLM, etc. I almost DIDN'T go with Herbalife, mainly because on the recruiting page that I ended up on, it wouldn't even tell me what the business WAS unless I first paid money for some 'information' package.

I soon learned that the online marketing company that recruited me is a separate entity from Herbalife, kind of like a subset. All distributors who were members of this marketing company are with Herbalife, but not all Herbalife distributors are with this online marketing company. Anyway, the information package I bought turned out to be little more than hype and ra-ra, almost entirely testimonials of people making lots of money with the business. It looked suspiciously like a scam.

So why, you might ask, did I go ahead and start the business anyway?

Well, I did a lot of research online, and learned a lot of positive things about Herbalife. For one thing, the products are highly-popular, if a little pricey. I saw this as good in two ways: 1) There would be high demand and 2) The products are priced high enough that the commission on each sale will be substantial.

One great resource that I found was a free ebook by Ann Sieg, which cuts through all the BS of network marketing and gives you a good idea of what to look for. I've included the link here if you want to get a free copy too.

So, after reading a lot of online reviews and ebooks, I pieced together five KEY success factors for choosing a network marketing business to invest in.

FIVE CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS
1) A reputable company that has been in business for a long time
2) A great product that will be in high demand despite the recession
3) A high-paying compensation plan with the ability to have a residual income
4) Dedicated support from your sponsor/upline who helped you start the business
5) MOST IMPORTANT, an automated marketing system that will be working for you and bringing interested customers to you, instead of you having to go out and hunt for them
