THE BAD NEWS
Let's be honest. You've read about how the government is going to be sending you a tax rebate, somewhere between $300 and $1200. But ask yourself...how much is that going to change your life? Rent for a month, pay down your credit bills, help with groceries?
The government is giving you a fish. It is feeding you for a day, but that won't improve your financial situation for tomorrow.
The reality is, that money will be gone before you know it and you'll be back where you started. What if you put it in the bank? It might earn $10-20 before you have to pull it out again to pay bills? Put the money in the stock market? You might earn or *lose* a few hundred dollars before you have to pull it out again to pay bills.
Maybe with the increase in spending there will be more jobs, and you can get a better-paying one? Maybe the nationwide layoffs in January were just a fluke?
And maybe you'll find a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow! It *could* happen, but it probably won't. If you are lucky, your job will not be outsourced or laid-off, and you will be able to keep scraping by.
But is that what you really want? Isn't there more out there? What about those self-made wealthy people you see on the talk shows on TV? At the very least, wouldn't it be nice if you could deal with some of the biggest problems you face as a member of the workforce? Such as...
*Feeling like you're not being paid what you're worth?
*Dreaming of being your own boss?
*Worrying about your family's financial future?
*Needing some extra spending cash?
*Wishing you could get out of debt?
I hate to say it, but it is up to you to change your life for the better. No one will do it for you, definitely not the government.
If you keep doing what you've always done, you keep getting what you've always gotten!
