Continuation of Top TEN Resources for Home-based Business Success

Ok, now where were we? I think I had just explained #5, how to profit with Craigslist. That brings us to...

6) Lead Capture Page
When prospects visit your website, they generally aren’t going to reach into their back pocket, pull out their credit card and sign up for your products or business.

People need to think things over, and see the offer again several times before they are ready to buy. But if they see your offer, then close their browser and go think things over, you are never going to hear from them again. Your mentor/sponsor should be able to provide you with or at least guide you towards obtaining a lead capture page for your website. Here is what MY lead capture page looks like:

Rob's Lead Capture Page

Having a lead capture page gives the prospect a chance to opt-in to receive more information about the business. They fill out their name, email address, and sometimes telephone number. This way you can follow up with them and teach them more about the business! Or if your system is entirely automated like mine, this entire process will be done for you!

But either way the lead capture page turns a visitor into a long-term prospect. Which leads us to…

7) An Autoresponder!
Prospects generally need to see an offer between 5-7 times before they buy. An autoresponder accomplishes this as well as providing valuable information about the business opportunity through automated emails send on a pre-set schedule.

This is just essential for any business. I personally use Aweber and Constant Contact as my autoresponders, but there are other good ones too. Check with your mentor for his/her recommendation. Your mentor should also set you up with a series of pre-generated emails for your prospects, or at least teach you how to set it up yourself.

Lunch break is over, so stay tuned for Success Tools 8-10 later today!
